Terms of service

No legal entity has been registered yet. These terms govern the use of the Hopcheck service as it currently operates. Formal terms including governing law and jurisdiction will be added when a legal entity is established.

Acceptance

By using Hopcheck, you accept these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Billing

No payment processor is currently connected. Hopcheck cannot charge or accept payments at this time. The billing terms below describe the intended model for when a payment processor is connected.

Current status. Hopcheck is free to use while in development. No account, sign-up, or payment is required.

What you are buying (future). A subscription to the Hopcheck redirect-tracing service grants access to the tool's features at the plan tier specified at the time of purchase — currently, up to 10 hops per chain, query-string change detection, and plaintext HTTP detection.

Price and billing period. The monthly subscription price will be displayed at the point of purchase and on the pricing page. Payment is due at the start of each billing period. If the service introduces a paid tier, existing free users will be notified and given continued free access under the terms in place at that time.

Failed payments. If a payment method fails to clear, the subscription will be suspended after a 7-day grace period. During this period, retries are attempted automatically every 2 days. If payment does not succeed after the grace period, access to the service is revoked until the outstanding balance is paid.

Refund policy. Refunds are at the discretion of the service operator. Subscription fees for the current billing period are generally not refunded, except in cases of extended service unavailability caused by us. No refunds are given for partial billing periods.

Price changes. If the subscription price changes, existing subscribers will be notified at least 30 days in advance. Price increases take effect at the next billing cycle.

Description of service

Hopcheck is a redirect tracing tool. You submit a URL, and the service follows the redirect chain of that URL, returning the status code, URL, and relevant headers at each hop. The service is provided as a diagnostic tool for web professionals.

Acceptable use

You agree to use Hopcheck only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not:

No warranty

Hopcheck is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. The redirect chain results are provided for informational purposes and may not reflect actual browser behaviour. The service may be unavailable, modified, or discontinued at any time without notice.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Hopcheck and its operators shall not be liable for any damages arising from the use or inability to use the service.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
